Soooo Many Projects, Sooooo Little Time!!!!!!
For starters YAY!!!!!!!!!! Glad my Little Guy is almost at 100% health wise. Sure does take him long to recoup when he gets sick, but we got through it =) Thank you Justin for your smile, your giggles, your laughter. I love you!!!!!!!!
Ok, so somewhere between sick child, mommy duties and household demands, I managed to finish up three of these cute little crochet beanies - one for each of the little girls hat live next door to me and one for the granddaughter (bottom pic). The girls looked too cute in their hats.
I've also managed to volunteer myself to join in on Old Red Barn Co's quilt along (as of yesterday they were in week 3 of instructions). Yesterday was catch-up day for me. I spent a good part of yesterday at the material store. Didn't know it would be tht hard to pick out 12 different prints that I would be happy with. Needless to say I changed my mind 3 times. I finally decided I wanted my first real quilt to be for future grandchildren =) =) - ok, future grandchild since I already have my little granddaughter. Something that maybe one day can be handed down from grandchildren to great-grandchildren =) =)
With my treasure hunt of materials in hand, I left the store only to see my little whooptie (car) with the lights left on (I was in the store for a good 2 1/2 hours). Walking to car - only thought is "PLEASE, PLEASE start"!!!!!!!! OH RATS!!!!!!!!!! pretty nearly dead battery. Wouldn't start. No prob, just ask around the parking lot for jumper cables -OH RATS!!!!!!! No one carries those things. I sat in my car and took a deep breath. Thought went through my head - do I call AAA and wait around for them for 3 hours like they made me do last time when I had a flat tire???? NOPE, I don't think so. Sat and took another deeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath. Put the key in the ignition and cranked it - YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! car started and off to home I went as quickly (and safely) as I could.
It's late and I was finally, after mommy duties, able to get my material ironed and ready for cutting. Thank goodness for rotary cutters. How did we ever get along without them????????? I did some cutting while I watched Letterman and finished the rest up today. Even got some sewing done. Here is what I have so far. This is the first 6 prints
Time for dinner - will try and post more tomorrow. Ciao for now =)
